School will be starting soon ! (Yay !!) It's been a wonderful summer, but now it's time to get back to the business of school.
During the school year, the kids attack me with tons of homework-related questions, so I've compiled a list of sites I use to help me to help them.
1. EAI Education- Sooooo much stuff, reasonable prices.
2. Scholastic- We've got some really nice workbooks from this site and check out their bargain bin for some great deals.
3. English Irregular Verbs - Hey, you just never know. Every year I have to help a kid with some irregular verbs on a homework sheet. It's good to be prepared.
4. Easy Testmaker- Why yes...I do give pop quizzes. :c)
5. Brighter Minds Media- Computer Games. Some of the prices are really good.
6. MindWare- I love games that make kids think. This site also has books and puzzles that will inspire your child's mind.
7. Software from Overstock.com- Shhhhh....don't tell anybody. Overstock.com has great prices on computer games.
8. Steve Spangler Science- Science class sure has changed a lot since I was in school. Everything seems so rushed. This site has stuff to inspire the scientific side of your child.
9. WebWiseKids- Want to teach the kids about Internet safety in a unique and fun way ? Go to this site and click on Programs. There are some interesting looking games (based-on real life scenarios) that will get your kids thinking and hopefully open up a dialogue about being safe online.
10. Book Adventure -Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Children create their own book lists from over 7,000 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read, and earn points and prizes for their literary successes.

Top 10 Favorite Cooking Websites
I love to cook. My biggest problem is figuring out what to cook. So when I'm standing in the kitchen, looking around lost and confused, I head to my computer to browse around these sites.

Menus4Moms- What could possibly be better than to have the menu, recipes and grocery list right there in front of you ?? Nothing. This site is great lots of family-friendly recipes.
1. AllRecipes- One of the first recipe sites I found many moons ago. Still one of my favorites.
2. Williams-Sonoma- While dreaming about expensive cookware, I stumbled upon this company's recipe section and I've been hooked ever since. So lovely.
3. Joy of Baking- OMGoodness...so many sweets, so little time.
4. Food Network- Granny's tv is usually on this channel most of the time.
5. The Pioneer Woman Cooks- This is a new favorite. Step by step instructions, pictures and humor...who could ask for anything more ?
6. MyRecipes- This site is ran by those lovely people who publish Southern Living and Cooking Light. Nice sized recipe collection.
7. Just Slow Cooking- No frills, No pictures. Just tons of recipes for the slow cooker.
8. Bed and Breakfast Inns Online- Nothing like a good breakfast to get ya going. Also has some lunch and dinner recipes.
9. Meals.com - 15,000 recipes. Dinner time heaven.
10. CopyKat Recipes- Recipes from your favorite restaurants (and more).

Top 10 Favorite Shopping Sites
I love online shopping. I love love love it.
I have a special folder of favorite sites that I have shopped at or want to shop at. There is nothing more relaxing (to me) than sitting at my desk, with a cup of hot cocoa and shopping. There's no crowds, no irate customers, no disgruntled employees....it's a beautiful thing.
Even though the holiday shopping season is over we might as well get an early start for Christmas 2008.
1. Oriental Trading Co. - Planning a party ? Want some cheap arts and crafts for the kids ? This place has all that. Very affordable. A lot of products to choose from. Shipping can be slow around holidays so order early or pay for expedited shipping.
2. WebClothes- I once got 10 pairs of girl's jeans from this place for about $4 a pair. The clothes are discount store quality, with some nicer brands (Carter's) thrown in. They usually have clearance sales at the end of each season, so there are some great deals to be had.
3. Williams-Sonoma- Everything on this site is droolworthy for people who love to cook. Unfortunately the prices are insane. I have a list of things I'd love to buy from there. The site does have a good recipe section.
4. Wake Up Frankie- What a heck of a way to make a pre-teen/teen age girl happy. Everything on this site is sofreakincute. 'Cole wants the Tag Your Name comforter and sham. It's a bit costly, but very unique.
5. The $15 Clothing Store - Quality stuff. Lots of name brands. Everything $15.
6. Steve Spangler Science- Some of the coolest science stuff I've found online. Teaching tools, videos and more.
7. The Old Schoolhouse- I just bought the Times Tales Deluxe product from this site and I am totally impressed. If your kids need help learning their upper multiplication facts it so easy and Pickles, who doesn't retain math facts easily has been able to memorize
8. Gamewright and MindWare- Kids like toys. Parents like toys that make kids smarter. Gamewright and MindWare sell toys that make kids smarter. Oh yeah, and they have fun stuff, too.
9. Junior's Most Fabulous Cheesecakes - Shhhhh....don't tell anybody. This site is a treat for mommy. Sure, mommy is supposed to be dieting, but she can have a treat...can't she ?? Can't She ?!? I swear I put on 10 pounds just looking at the website. I love cheesecake.
10. Carol's Daughter- Haircare products and beauty products. We've tried a few things from this company. I do like their haircare products. We've been using Black Vanilla Leave-in Conditioner, Mimosa Hair Honey and Rosemary Mint Shampoo. My hair is starting to look healthier and the products smell WONDERFUL.
Honorable Mention- Book By You- I love this product. The stories are wonderful and the kids really enjoy reading the book. the downside is pages started falling out of the book the first week. Thank goodness for super glue. They also do a romance book for mommies.
